Mercy Ships works with villages which have been devastated by a disaster or which simply lack resources and/or skills to rebuild or move forward as a community. Community Development teams work alongside locals to turn community vision into reality.

Together with local leaders, Community Development teams assess community needs and then provide manpower, skills and materials for a variety of projects. During the construction, they work with local community members and teach useful building skills. Projects include building hospitals, clinics, schools, homes and other facilities.
